    Spirits in Darkness: A new era in Time is currently based in a custom arc right after the end of The Arrancar Saga. Many of The Espada and Arrancar have fallen, and only few of them are left alive. The shingami had a short time of rest before another strange group appeared, "the Shadows" not much is currently known about these creatures.


    Information about the shadows:
    Shadows are blackish like blob creatures whom seek power and warmth and are attracted to anything that has life force. They start to seize the soul world and they seek to destroy it as well. To rule over it, however the soul reapers begin fighting them off. They are able to absorb light attacks, it only makes them stronger. Along with light, comes fire, and elements that spark a light. They have weaknesses, too much light is one. But the second is hidden. Besides this, not much is known of their leaders or of them.

    The Soul World, except for Hollows and Arrancar, has always been peaceful. After the Arrancar were finally fought off and their leader was killed, they had no direction and pretty much were destroyed on from then. There only remain a few, but they are not so easy to set apart from the crowd. There will always be Hollows, but they do not attack as frequently anymore. A time of serenity has fallen upon the Soul world as well as the world of the living. But does this serenity and peace mean anything good to come?

    After a short time of peace, new creatures called Shadows befall the Soul world. No one knows much about the creatures, the Soul reapers are battling them one on one. Almost all have lost, some have died. From the little known information a researcher soul reaper extracted some of his observations from fighting one of them for himself. He wrote it down in his notes and before long he died. He knew that these creatures are able to regenerate in the darkness, in the Shadows as their name states. Not much else is known. As these creatures besiege the soul world, they push towards the door to the world of the living. Things are chaotic in the soul world, and Rukia, Ichigo, Renji, Orihime, and the whole crew sense it. However this is a new generation and they all have their hands full with things. Will their children or siblings be able to band together to kill off these creatures? And just what are they planning?
